Rachelle and I planned her grad shoot at the beginning of June. For August. It was perfect, because we weren’t racing to get it done before grad. Or trying to squeeze it into her crazy pre-grad schedule. The best part? We didn’t have to worry about her dress getting dirty or wet.

The day of her shoot it poured rain. Huge raindrops. lightning, and thunder…OH MY!! So as wet met for the session, we texted and we cancelled. Fast forward thirty minutes: sunshine and puffy white clouds. Needless to say, we got the shoot done. We went to lots of new locations for me, which is always exciting for me. But doing them with Rachelle and Corey made it that much better. Both of them are so easy to talk to. I love how these images turned out.

Gorgeous girl + Gorgeous dress=Gorgeous shots. (Corey totally made the shots too!! He was a great assistant for me, too. Much thanks Shane. Yeah, I called him that during the shoot. Cause that’s SOOOO close to Corey). :)

I had a fabulous session with Miss. Charlotte. It was uncharacteristically warm for January, so we took it to the streets of Regina. She even braved getting her BEAUTIFUL dress dirty, the streets were a melting, drippy, muddy mess. She was definately a sight. She was stopped by a roving TV reporter, asking her what she was doing outside in the beautiful weather in a ball gown. Then she had numerous people stop to take her picture on their cell phones! :) She was a little bit of a celebrity. Gorgeous girl + Gorgeous dress + Gorgeous weather= GORGEOUS photos!!  It made my job a piece of cake. :)

Erika is another of my Grad 2010 Supermodels. She did this shoot with her best friend Renae, and I had the best time shooting with them. They are both funny and upbeat, and very bubbly.  Erika has one of my favorite combos: dark hair and blue eyes. Something about framing those gorgeous turquoise eyes in dark chocolate brown, really makes them pop. During our shoot, Erika was hit on by a group of persistent 11 year old skateboarders. The one boy asked for her “digits”…Yeah, he used the word, “digits”. Needless to say Erika was not impressed. He kept directing her, and was full of cheesy pick up lines. We hurried it up, and moved on to the next location. :) I love how these shots turned out, and I cannot wait to do her grad shoot in the spring.

Renae is one of my Grad 2010 Senior Supermodels. Her and her best friend Erika did this shoot together, and cracked me up the whole time. Renae does a great French accent, and has the cutest smile EVER. It makes me happy just looking at it. Seriously, happy girl. If University doesn’t work out, she could always come and be my assistant. :) She is so upbeat and happy, its infectuous!! Her shots turned out beautiful (and tell me she doesn’t just make you happy??).

Montana is another of my Grad 2010 Supermodels. She is super laid back and very go with the flow. However, the day of our shoot wasn’t the best one for her. She almost got in a major car accident on the way to the shoot (when we met up she had been crying and had slightly red and puffy eyes) and then she lost her lip ring at some point during the shoot. But it all ended well, because it was snowing fairly heavily by the end of our shoot. Montana is a snowboarder so she was absolutely stoked to see the snow. I on the other hand, had a very different reaction. ;) Got some great shots despite all of the drama.

Emily is one of my Grad 2010 Senior Supermodels. I had such a great time shooting her. She was so relaxed. And this girl has the most beautiful eyes. Mesmerizing. She is a clothing designer, and I was surprised at what the girl can do with a sewing machine! She made the pink dress she is wearing in some of these shots. So vintage. I am sure in a few years we will all be purchasing Emily’s designs. I am so excited to do her grad shoot, because I can only imagine what she will create!! :) If you are interested in the Grad 2010 Supermodel program, e-mail me at: info@eyecandyonline.ca   for more information.
