With Lex, we decided to do vintage pin-up.  Her hair and makeup were perfect for this, and when I saw what she had picked out clothing wise, I was over the moon. Our shoot was, interesting, to say the least (see below for details). But the photos are beautiful because Lex looks like she stepped out of the 40’s. Perfection!

We shot these out in the country. The shot on the swing was done in an abandoned schoolyard outside a one-horse town…Not really. No horses. But maybe six houses. I park my van so we are blocking the houses sightline, and get Lex set up in the swing. And I am so excited. Because this is one of those shots I know I am going to LOVE!! (And I do love it). I start snapping away happily, and low and behold, a crazy farm lady comes out and tells us to get the HE-double hockey sticks out of there, as there are lots of children that run around there, and they don’t need to come upon this. I hadn’t even thought of that, and completely agree with her. So we get up to go, and she turns and tells us we have to leave-AGAIN. Now I am getting a little annoyed. We were on our way to my van. I did nothing other than agree with her. And I didn’t continue shooting while she was talking, or even take another shot once she was done. So again, I agree with her. But it doesn’t end there….She then tells us that if we don’t leave, she will be calling in the RCMP. Really? I don’t think there was ever any need to pull out that card. We were nothing but compliant with her requests. It just rubbed me the wrong way. There was just no need to be so blatantly rude. To each their own, I guess.

Heading to bed now. My eyes are sleeepppppyyyyyy.
