A fitting title for this little princess. All through the shoot, her mom and dad called her “Princess Jasmine”, just like the Disney princess from Aladdin. And what a little sweetheart she was. She only cried a little when she was hungry, other than that, she was perfectly content sleeping the shoot away. She is my first newborn baby girl, and I got to try out some new props I had on hand. The flower hat was made by the crafty hands of my childhood friend Melanie, who has been knitting up a storm for me! I made the other knitted brown cocoon, which is quite amazing for me, as I have two left hands when it comes to doing things that involve fine motor skills. As always, I fell in love with these shots. How could you not? Huge thanks to Rod and Amanda for opening their home up to me, and for allowing me to be the one to photograph their beautiful baby girl.
