Olivia was a sweetheart! And she only lives a block away from me. She was only a little over a week old when I met Jennifer and Mark for the session. Grandma was on hand to lend a hand as well. Which begs the question, “How many people does it take to photograph a newborn?”.  In my world, the more hands that are available, the better. :D Olivia was awake for a bit at the beginning, but once she conked out, we got some beautiful shots.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE photographing newborns. I wish I had known what I was doing with a camera when my sons were little like this. As always, feel free to leave your thoughts here. Or you can join my facebook FanPage by clicking on the little blue “f” below.

This is Liam. He is the happiest, most content little man I have ever met. He made my job easy…But I can’t say the same for his mom. He peed all over her twice, and then during the last pose (the last shot below), he pooped in her hands. Funny thing is, about a minute before that I was telling Julie how the last time I did this pose,  the baby pooped all over his mom. She laughed and mentioned Liam hadn’t had a bowel movement that day…Well, he ended the shoot with a bang, that’s for sure. This little man was just so happy, and his parents are so blessed to have such a sweet little man on their hands. :D

This was a fun shoot I did a few weeks ago with my oldest son, Ethan and his friends, Peyton and Kayla. It was a gorgeous day, so I figured what better to do than an impromptu photoshoot. I took them to all my favorite spots, and we had a blast. It was refreshing to photograph a little girl for once, she was so into the whole shoot. The boys were happier playing in the back of the van! I LOVE how these shots came out.

And this one I love. The spontanaeity. The real smiles and laughter. This is what being a kid is all about. :D

This session happened way back in January, and I thought I had posted it then. But going through my blog photos, I realized that I forgot my first maternity session: Sharilyn and Jeff!! They were so much fun to work with, and Sharilyn was willing to try some stuff I have been thinking about for awhile. The silhouette shot is one of my favorites, I love the simplicity of it. Maternity photos are all about showcasing the Mommy-To-Be’s shape, and I think this photo did it best.
