Kristy Crantini. What can I say about her? She is F-U-N. Period. She made me laugh the whole shoot. And I mean belly laughing. Laughing so much you feel like you can’t catch your breath. She just moved here from Vancouver, and we talked about everything under the sun. She hasn’t seen the Twilight movies (I know, I was SHOCKED too), she doesn’t have a facebook account, her fave movie is Dumb and Dumber, she has a jacket addiction (just like me) and she falls though glass coffee tables for party entertainment (wink, wink). This girl knows how to pose herself, knows where her light is and I can see why she got paid to model clothing lines in Vancouver.  I adore these shots!!

I can’t wait to shoot with her again. She is the epitome of what a women should be: confident but not snotty, beautiful but not in your face, smart but not boring, and so very endearing.

I have been thinking about this shoot for awhile now. I always loved Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video (and Beyonces LEGS in the video, I mean, really who has legs like that!?!) and was waiting for a model to try and pull off a body shot shoot. And Melanie helped make it become a reality (Along with the help of Makeup Artist Sonja Clifton-Remple…who by the way, has done hair and makeup for all of my model shoots…More on this later). Melanie had been a dancer and a gymnast throughout her childhood, so she fit the bill PERFECTLY!! I also wanted to do try a lace makeup look and when I mentioned it to Sonja and Melanie, both were excited to give it a try! These shots came out of my camera almost as I envisioned in my head, and as a photographer, you can’t ask for anything more. :)

Wow! It seems like it has been so long since I blogged…So forgive me, I am a little rusty. I finally had some time in my schedule to get back to shooting. Sam is the girl from my peacock shoot. I have an amazing time shooting with her because her laugh is contagious. And we had alot to laugh at on this shoot. Me playing makeup artist was number one. Me playing hairdresser was number two. The tangled mess of beads I draped her in was number three. And her sprained/sore foot was number four. She even brought heels and she was prepared to wear them, too! I didn’t allow it (the girl was limping in her sneakers). We had a blast and got some great shots for Sam’s portfolio. :)
