These are three of the loves of my life. My boys. My heart. They make me smile, laugh, cry, bite my lip in frustration and to keep from laughing when I shouldn’t. They were so great for this photo shoot. They ran around, yelling, but soon enough settled down. Of course, I have to say a huge THANK YOU to my husband, Trevor who was my kid wrangler. And assistant. He helped get some of the great smiles and funny faces in the shots below. I got some great shots to make some prints for my own walls (which, sadly, are bare). This was an assignment for school, and I figured since it has been almost a year since I took a portrait of them (bad photographer mommy), I wanted to include them for this one. I absolutely LOVE these.

Erika is another of my Grad 2010 Supermodels. She did this shoot with her best friend Renae, and I had the best time shooting with them. They are both funny and upbeat, and very bubbly.  Erika has one of my favorite combos: dark hair and blue eyes. Something about framing those gorgeous turquoise eyes in dark chocolate brown, really makes them pop. During our shoot, Erika was hit on by a group of persistent 11 year old skateboarders. The one boy asked for her “digits”…Yeah, he used the word, “digits”. Needless to say Erika was not impressed. He kept directing her, and was full of cheesy pick up lines. We hurried it up, and moved on to the next location. :) I love how these shots turned out, and I cannot wait to do her grad shoot in the spring.

Renae is one of my Grad 2010 Senior Supermodels. Her and her best friend Erika did this shoot together, and cracked me up the whole time. Renae does a great French accent, and has the cutest smile EVER. It makes me happy just looking at it. Seriously, happy girl. If University doesn’t work out, she could always come and be my assistant. :) She is so upbeat and happy, its infectuous!! Her shots turned out beautiful (and tell me she doesn’t just make you happy??).

…that this was gonna be an AMAZING shoot!! And my feeling on this was spot on. I have wanted to shoot with Olivia for awhile now. She is moving to Japan in two weeks to do some international modelling, so I am so glad we got this shoot scheduled before she leaves. She is gorgeous (and reminds me a little of Katie Holmes, circa 1998) and she absolutely knows how to work her body. She was meant to model. I loved working with her! And the amount of honks from cars passing by was UN-believable. And she only burst into laughter a few times. There were a few vehicles that went around the block, because one look wasn’t enough! :)

Janelle and I met up for our shoot on the first cold day of the year. And by cold, I mean freezing. The wind was strong enough to carry away Mary Poppins!! Poor Janelle, because these pictures don’t do justice to just how frozen she was. She was amazing! She brought cookies for the drive and we discussed our favorite 80’s bands. Bon Jovi and Madonna were thrown out there, but at the top of Janelle’s list was New Kids on the Block. :) We discussed how listening to them now we both have WTF moments. But when you were eight in the late 80’s those dudes were everywhere, and they rocked your world. Besides, everyone knows the words to “Step By Step”…even if they won’t admit it! Janelle rocked this shoot, and I absolutely LOVE how these pictures came out.

Montana is another of my Grad 2010 Supermodels. She is super laid back and very go with the flow. However, the day of our shoot wasn’t the best one for her. She almost got in a major car accident on the way to the shoot (when we met up she had been crying and had slightly red and puffy eyes) and then she lost her lip ring at some point during the shoot. But it all ended well, because it was snowing fairly heavily by the end of our shoot. Montana is a snowboarder so she was absolutely stoked to see the snow. I on the other hand, had a very different reaction. ;) Got some great shots despite all of the drama.

Emily is one of my Grad 2010 Senior Supermodels. I had such a great time shooting her. She was so relaxed. And this girl has the most beautiful eyes. Mesmerizing. She is a clothing designer, and I was surprised at what the girl can do with a sewing machine! She made the pink dress she is wearing in some of these shots. So vintage. I am sure in a few years we will all be purchasing Emily’s designs. I am so excited to do her grad shoot, because I can only imagine what she will create!! :) If you are interested in the Grad 2010 Supermodel program, e-mail me at: info@eyecandyonline.ca   for more information.
