Christine and I have been talking about her session since December. We were going to get together in February but her work schedule and mine never meshed. We comitted to getting this shoot done in August…Almost 6 months after our first discussions!! She had always wanted to have professional photos done, and never had, so I was very excited that she wanted me to do them!! She wanted more of a fashion look to the portraits, so we did a fashion-fusion session…A portrait session with the flair of a fashion shoot.

She and a friend and their boyfriends travelled up from Estevan for her shoot and stayed at The Delta downtown. They were there the same time the Discovered model search was taking place. She laughed when she told me about it…And after seeing her shots, I think she should have been IN the competition. She was SO comfortable infront of the camera, and the shots show it. She also got more whistles and car honks than anyone I have ever shot. It bordered on outrageous, actually.

I am in LOVE….. This is what a fashion-fusion session is all about!! A combination of great portrait shots with absolute fashion flair. They are GORGEOUS!!

Rachelle and I planned her grad shoot at the beginning of June. For August. It was perfect, because we weren’t racing to get it done before grad. Or trying to squeeze it into her crazy pre-grad schedule. The best part? We didn’t have to worry about her dress getting dirty or wet.

The day of her shoot it poured rain. Huge raindrops. lightning, and thunder…OH MY!! So as wet met for the session, we texted and we cancelled. Fast forward thirty minutes: sunshine and puffy white clouds. Needless to say, we got the shoot done. We went to lots of new locations for me, which is always exciting for me. But doing them with Rachelle and Corey made it that much better. Both of them are so easy to talk to. I love how these images turned out.

Gorgeous girl + Gorgeous dress=Gorgeous shots. (Corey totally made the shots too!! He was a great assistant for me, too. Much thanks Shane. Yeah, I called him that during the shoot. Cause that’s SOOOO close to Corey).

Love these photos. Rachelle wants to be a wedding planner, so these photos were very romantic…Gorgeous. I reached 800 fans on facebook. YAY!! Planning what kind of sale to have celebrate. If you have a suggestion for what you think, let me know….

Loved this little one!! She is full of energy, and smiles and giggles. And as per usual with 18 month olds, she wanted to do everything BUT sit down for the camera. I love this age because they are so busy exploring, and truly being themselves. We pulled out all the stops, her mom and I. Okay, lets be honest, it was mostly her mom (who by the way is 4 months pregnant). She jumped up and down ALOT, danced, made silly faces, sang all kinds of songs…She went WAYYYY past the extra mile to get Avery’s attention. And she did. And I captured some moments that I absolutely adore….Hope you all like them too.

Baby Allison. Such a cute little girl. She hated my wicker basket, and didn’t want to be set down. Cuddling in Dad’s arms, we got some great shots. She’s definately Daddy’s little girl. Other than the large birdlike mosquitoes, the shoot was amazing. Amazing family, full of so much love. And how can you not LOVE that!!

Sweet baby Aura. One of the coolest names I have come across in a long while. So unique in such a great way. I am blessed to have such happy little clients to photograph. She was no exception. She was completely content with almost everything we attempted with her, and she only began to complain when she got hungry. There were mosquitoes galore, but they didn’t seem to phase the little sweetheart at all. And her parents were amazing as well. So relaxed and happy. Check out the adorable shots of sweet baby Aura. Erika was one of my grad models this year. We got to her session late due to rain and finally getting our schedules to match up. This girl is AMAZING. I love, love, love shooting with her. Her grad dress: stunning. Absolutely gorgeous!! As per usual with Erika, she had her fair share of stalkers. In September it was a bunch of pre-teen skateboarders asking for her “digits” and telling her “to work it” and how she should smile more because its “beautiful”. This time it was in the form of some men from Nigeria, and a group of drunks in the park. Only in Regina. After we were done shooting in the city, we headed out to to her boyfriend Katlin’s farm. Uhmmmm, ONE WORD: Amazing!! The only thing that was not amazing was the mosquitoes. They were thick out there. But Katlin bathed us in bug spray and after the bug juice Erika and I were good to go! We got some beautiful shots. This was one of those sessions that I went overboard editing for the blog. But I couldn’t help myself!! Take a peek and let me know your thoughts.

Where to start with baby Oden? This little man is the sweetest little boy ever. He is all smiles and giggles…And he can tell you a story if you have the time to listen. He sat for well over an hour for his shoot, and only at the very end did he start to complain. He is my great-nephew (as far as I can figure…He is my nieces’ son…great-nephew…right??), and he came to visit with his Aunt Allie and his mom, Chelsey. Allie, Chelsey and I have been really close since I started dating Trevor. We just clicked. And I love them both to pieces. They both have hearts of gold, and are fiercely loyal to their family (which I adore about them). And baby Oden…Oh boy! I love this little man like his was my own baby. I enjoyed editing these photos so much. It was just one of those amazing sessions. Take a peek and let me know your thoughts.

This was a thought I had right before I slipped into the unconciousness of sleep late one night. I saw a safari of girls: a lion, a zebra and a cheetah/leopard. I saw them as an abstract representation of the animals…And I immediately wanted to try and capture it! So I recruited Katie to be my zebra, Brittany to be my lion and Nicole to be my leopard…Of course Sonja was on hand for the makeup (which she applied flawlessly, as per usual) and CJ Reed, of Wired Hair Design ROCKED the hair. AMAZING!!

Did you enjoy your trip to the zoo? Loved these girls, loved this shoot….Finishing up school this week, lots of creatives coming up as well as lots of client work. A full summer of shooting. Happy girl!

I have had this shoot in my head for awhile now. I love Taylor Momsen’s style, and wanted to mimic that fashion-rock-chick style she rocks so effortlessly. Railin was the perfect model for this. Her look is so ethnic, and this girl has wardrobe. An amazing, amazing wardrobe. Sonja and I could have shot her for days using what she brought in her suitcase, it was all THAT great. And she is such a happy, sweet, funloving girl, but when the camera came out she WORKED it. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shots.
